Through a SPAWAR issued, dedicated DCAO task order tied to Red River’s NITAAC CIO-CS GWAC contract, Red River provides direct access for Department of Navy Mission Owners to purchase a standardized commercial cloud hosting services in a secure environment. Utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud for commodity compute, storage and network capacity, Red River stands up secure, FEDRAMP and “FEDRAMP+” compliant services specifically to meet stringent Department of Defense security requirements. The Red River team includes cloud experts Smartronix and Stigian to deliver services and security support for the Shared Services Virtual Environment (SSVE). A secure “self-service” portal will simplify service ordering and provide visibility into actual usage, foundational managed services, patch management and performance metrics.
