Core Technical Skills Courses
Virtual
Entry-level technical certifications aligned to the new VMware Certified Technical Associate suite of certifications. The suite consists of six different certifications aligned to several virtualization branches, such as Data Center, Networking, End-User Computing, Modern Applications, Security and Cloud Management.
CCNA1: Introduction to Networking
February 7, 2024 – April 24, 2024
(Wednesdays)
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Virtual
CCNAv7: Introduction to Networks (ITN) covers the architecture, structure, functions and components of the Internet and other computer networks. Students achieve a basic understanding of how networks operate and how to build simple local area networks (LAN), perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement Internet Protocol (IP).
CCNA2: Switching, Routing, Wireless Essentials
February 5, 2024 – April 22, 2024
(Mondays)
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Virtual
CCNAv7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials (SRWE) covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in small networks and introduces wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. Students learn how to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches for advanced functionality using security best practices and resolve common issues with protocols in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
CCNA 3: Enterprise Networking, Security & Automation
February 5, 2024 – April 22, 2024
(Mondays)
Virtual
CCNAv7: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation (ENSA) describes the architecture, components, operations, and security to scale for large, complex networks, including wide area network (WAN) technologies. The course emphasizes network security concepts and introduces network virtualization and automation. Students learn how to configure, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise network devices and understand how application programming interfaces (API) and configuration management tools enable network automation.
CyberOps Associate
Self-Paces / Proctored Exam
Virtual
The CyberOps Associate curriculum introduces the student to the knowledge and skills needed for a Security Analyst working with a Security Operations Center team. It teaches core security skills needed for monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing, and responding to security events, thus protecting systems and organizations from cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. It includes an optional skills challenge to practice cybersecurity operations knowledge in a fun and engaging environment. The course prepares students for entry-level security career opportunities in a Security Operations Center and prepares for the Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate Certification.
CCNP ENTERPRISE: CORE NETWORKING
Virtual
Required Prerequisites: CCNA 1, 2 & 3.
CCNA Certification strongly recommended.
CCNP Enterprise: Core Networking (ENCOR) provides students with a broad scope of architectural understanding and implementation skills required by enterprise networks. The course covers switching, routing, wireless, and related security topics along with the technologies that support software-defined, programmable networks. The 70+ hour, instructor-led course is the 1st of 2 courses in the Cisco CCNP Enterprise curriculum and includes hands-on lab work along with a wide array of assessment types and tools.
We will schedule the 2nd installment of CCNP: Enterprise: Advanced Routing (ENARSI) based on the success of the 1st installment.
CCNP: Enterprise: Advanced Routing (ENARSI)
Virtual
The 2nd installment of CCNP: Enterprise: Advanced Routing (ENARSI).
Required Prerequisites: CCNA 1, 2 & 3.
Recommended preparation: CCNP Enterprise: Core Networking
CCNA Certification strongly recommended.
This course focuses on implementation and troubleshooting of advanced routing and redistribution for Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) along with VPN technologies, infrastructure security and management tools used in enterprise networks
CCNA/CyberOps Fast Track
Upon Request
Virtual
The Instructor CCNA or CyberOps Associate Fast Track training courses are options for instructors that already have the required subject knowledge and skills of the course content. The instructor candidate must prove proficiency in the curriculum by completing the Skills-Based-Assessment (SBA) specific to the curriculum. The specific prerequisites for CCNA Fast Track require the candidate to hold a current, valid CCNA certification. The specific prerequisites for the CyberOps Associates Fast Track require the candidate to hold a current, valid CCNA CyberOps Associate certification. Upon confirming enrollment eligibility and accreditation by the Instructor Trainer, the candidate will be accredited to teach the relevant curriculum. Completing the CCNA Fast Track will accredit the candidate to teach CCNA R&S (all 3 courses). The Fast Track SBA will be scheduled upon request.
DEVNET ASSOCIATE
Self-Paced / Proctored Exam
Virtual
The DevNet Associate course introduces the methodologies and tools of modern software development, applied to the IT and Network operations. It covers a 360 view of the domain including microservices, testing, containers and DevOps, as well as securely automating infrastructures with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Students completing this course, gain practical, relevant, hands-on lab experience, including programming in Python, using GIT and common data formats (JSON, XML and YAML), deploying applications as containers, using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automating infrastructure using code. The course prepares students for entry-level software development and infrastructure automation jobs and prepares them for the DevNet Associate certification exam.
